How to Prevent Rust on stainless steel water tank
Many customers purchase stainless steel tanks and use them for a period of time. Some may believe that rust is a sign of a quality issue, and even suspect that the product they bought isn't actually made of stainless steel. However, this is not the case. Stainless steel does not always rust. Today, we'll introduce several methods for preventing rust on stainless steel tanks.
Use the Right Tools
When cleaning stainless steel, it's important to be careful and use non-abrasive tools. Soft cloths and plastic rags will not damage the surface of the stainless steel. Stainless steel cleaning pads can also be used, but make sure to follow the manufacturer's recommended grinding direction.
Clean in the Direction of the Grain
Some stainless steel surfaces have grinding lines or textures. If the surface has visible grain lines, you should clean in the same direction. If the texture is not clear, it's best to use a soft cloth or plastic pad and wipe gently to avoid scratching.
Use Alkaline, Chlorine-Free, or Bleach-Free Detergents
